This notice explains how Karl Lillrud handles personal data sent through this website. Last updated 22 October 2026.

What we collect

Only what you send in the event brief form: your name, work email, organization, optional role, and the event details you choose to share. We also keep a technical log of the request (time and a one way hash of your IP address) to prevent abuse. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and loads no third party trackers. Fonts are served from this server.

Playbook by email

If you ask for the Speaker Budget Playbook by email, we store your email address, optional first name and whether you asked for the two follow-up notes. The follow-ups are only sent if you tick that box, and every one has a one-click unsubscribe link. Emails are sent through messagesender.rest, an email service operated for Karl Lillrud’s businesses.

Statistics

We count visits and clicks without cookies: no personal profile is built, the IP address is replaced by a hash that changes every day, and campaign tags from links (utm parameters) are stored only as text. Your browser keeps two small preferences locally (which headline variant you see and the campaign you arrived from), never sent to third parties.

Why

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal and, if you book, deliver the engagement. The legal basis is your consent and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

The TEDx talk is only loaded from TED when you press play. TED then processes data under its own privacy policy.

How long (retention)

Retention period: enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 24 months. Playbook email addresses are deleted 24 months after the last email or at once if you unsubscribe and ask us to. Booking records are kept as long as accounting law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction or deletion at any time by emailing me@karllillrud.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. In Sweden that is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY, imy.se); in Spain the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
